Hello!
I am trying to render a carpet created with a simple particle system but I see no hair in the rendered image. Does anyone know what might be going wrong?
I have tried converting the particles into mesh but still no hair is visible.
Thank you in advance!
Stelios

Hi Stelios,
Did you create a source object or group of objects for your Hair PS? I've tried a PS and everything works fine for me. Maybe, you can show some printscreens?

Hey!
Thank you for responding!
Blender just crashes before it starts rendering... I used both a "Group" PS and a simple PS. In both cases it crashes...
Here is a link to a .blend file with a carpet that I cannot render: https://www.dropbox.com/s/whtwoct7gx3k8 ... _Rug.blend
If you have the time to download it and try some renderings I would really appreciate it...

You didn't change a type of your source objects from Global to Scatter. In order to save GPU memory usage you should do it for every source object and for the PS object (I mean the object with ParticleSystem modifier) itself.
