OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

Image

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • Fixed falloff texture bug.
  • Fixed metaballs bug.
  • Fixed defaut "roughness" value in glossy material.
  • Added Blender's own "Post Processing" rollout to "OctaneRender" mode.
  • Added version info to OctaneServer tray-icon tooltip.
  • Minor bug fixes...

DOWNLOAD (both distributives must be reinstalled, they depend on each other)

Blender Octane Edition - 1.20.2 - 1.6 beta (2.68a) (51.7MB autoinstaller file)
Octane Server - 1.20.2 - 1.6 beta (32.3MB autoinstaller file)

The scene works file with version 1.2

I tried attaching the .blend but with the textures attached and zipped it is 280MB+ in size. When I attempted to upload this the forum failed to upload the file. So if you have an email address that I can send it to then I'd gladly do this.
Have you tried mega.co.nz ?

Blender for Octane 1.20 and 1.20.2 won't fire.

I get this message "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

I uninstalled Blender for Octane and Open Server and re-installed them and no go.
