Hi guys !
;)

I've been using the export script for Blender for some time now with Blender 2.49b.
(I'm a bit scared of getting a newer version of Blender because I don't know if the export script works well with Blender 2.5x  )

Anyway, here's my query :
I've recently changed my graphics card (GTX 680) but I had to switch to Octane's Kepler Build : the export script works well with still images, but when I try to export animations it keeps rendering the same frame : e.g. if I wish to render 20 frames (start 1 / end 20), it will render 20 times the same image #1.
=> do you have the same problem?

Thanks in advance for your precious help, cheers !

Oh my... Ditch 2.49 and move to 2.6, AT ONCE!! :)

The script for 2.6x works better than the official one for 2.49

Thanks for your reply matej ;)

So if I download Blender's latest version (2.63a) I'll have to download the exporter that can be found in this thread (v1.19)?

Sorry for the dumb question

Hi, Yes,use 1.19, or even the 1.20 if you experience some troubles.

I was a defender of Blender 2.49b, and I still use it sometimes for modelling because I don't like Bmesh and Ngons, and I prefer to be sure that I have no hidden triangles in my topology, but for everything else I have finally switched to 2.5x and now 2.63a.

Once my models finished in 2.49b, I append them in 2.63a, and export to Octane from 2.63a with Exporter 1.19. I works fine for me. Thanks again Lionel !

Andrew Price's tutorials helped me a lot in the discovery of 2.5x-2.6x ! I strongly recommend his website as well as his course "The Nature Academy".

@Roubal, you mentioned a 1.20 plugin? I have been looking for a link for that, can you post a link where I can get that?
Thanks!

Hi Guys,

Just played a little bit with Blender plugin 1.19 (by Lionel Zamouth) to implement some extra features in light emitting objects:

1. Fixed Texture node extra nodes attach in emission dialog.
2. Fixed power node attach in emission dialog.
3. Added Sampling Rate dialog and node exporter for emission texture and black body.

Tested briefly in Blender 2.63a (latest build from graphicall.org) and Octane 1.0 beta 2.59

Enjoy!

P.s. Lionel could you please maybe include it in your branch?

Thanks
Andrey

@lucidlook, thanks for your work!

btw, this thread is about the very old official script for blender 2.4x :)

You better start a new thread or post your updates in the latest exporter version for Blender 2.6x here
