I try out nowadays the Carbon Scatter 2.
In addition 'planze' I Xfrog trees.
Only of the octanes Render something clouds my joy, because he forgets constantly the textures.
Converted materials are properly put, alpha is perfect which is put gamma by 1 another 2.2, so that the colors also look in such a way, as under C4D itself. I render, everything wonderfully, everything is shown how it must be.
I change the segment, restart the Renderer and everything knows, I have to go back again all materials anew the textures read in, briefly invertieren, again and everything it is again iO. I rendere: Wonderfully....
I change the view again, MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNNNNNNNN again everything knows... What does the OR have then for a problem with his own materials? Why he forgets over and over again the textures which he just still knew. It becomes even so bad that I have with 2 plants of this Probs in the change.
In the preview (only the material Icons) they look right, on the Renderbild they are white, doubleclick on the Vorschauicons, Materialeditir rises, now there the materials are to be seen even white.
I hope, one understands me....
I have a folder with material, there are an amount of unterfolders with own unterfolders in which this material stands. For path choice in the octanes Setting 10 paths are available, would be also enough if all unterfolders were read. Not to be the appearing, however, the case....

let me to understand correctly? You are doing some material convertion and after some tweaks on objects, later getting white materials? Need to check or see some samples. Maybe plugin is generating own materials again

The sit me three times with carbon scatter happens. Unfortunately I could not save the scenes. But now I bought SC2 and will send, if it happens again, there you as a complete scene.
I had 2 plants (Xfrog) and hardly any one was displayed correctly, the others had lost their texture...Crazy..
It went back and forth... Maybe it's just a bug in SC2 demo, I don't know. But I will keep you informed.

as promised, here the file.
Either there goes the oak or the ficus. Both go if the OR is not finished. If he is finished goes after the next start only one. If one produces the texture again, does not go other. The list forgets octanes Render.
Both models lie in 2 different lists which lie both under the main list C4D which is put down in the path by octanes Render.

I'm pretty positive this is not a Octane problem. (We've been using it extensively on a large project for weeks now). This is how Carbon Scatter works. It re-loads all the textures from it's library everytime you open the file. So if you've converted a texture to an Octane texture it will without fail re-load the textures from it's own library everytime you open the file.
It drove us completely mad. It's nothing Aoktar can fix. Go yell at E-On. I did.

Please look in my file, there is no carbon scatter at work, but only 2 polygons with 2 different textures in 2 different directories... You are in alternating white, because one always forgets the path. This is very frustrating...
This happens when the OR is closed and reopened, or stopped.
This is already an OR problem, i think.
Perhaps, OR remembers the paths not deep enough? And if it should be the CS2, then this problem but also with C4D should occur alone. But it doesn't...
By the way, where did you complained you Forum in the CS? Or this written?
