I'm having a rather big problem here... v0.72 (from July) works fine with both my GPUs, as does Octane 1.20a standalone. However, every newer version of the plugin, 0.74, 0.81 etc., has not been recognizing any of my GPUs at all. Nothing. See screenshot. What can be done here? This is the same in R14 and R15.
GPUs are one Titan and a 680. Driver 326.80.
Versions newer than 0.72b do not recognize any of my GPUs

did you make a clean install? What about standalone?ron908 wrote:I'm having a rather big problem here... v0.72 (from July) works fine with both my GPUs, as does Octane 1.20a standalone. Yes, this is a clean install (on a fresh R15, but it's the same in R14).
Standalone works fine. I compared the DLLs and they seem to be the same as the standalone, too.

ther is no gpu devices, that shows a problem with initializing of plugin. Possibly dll problems. you must double check installation and pluginsron908 wrote:Yes, this is a clean install (on a fresh R15, but it's the same in R14).

Here's the console output:
So the nvidia library appears to see the GPUs correctly.
I've (re)installed a number of times now. octane.dat/.dll, nvapi64.dll and vcomp100.dll are in the c4d exe folder (copied from the Libs64 folder of the installed plugin)
Edit: the "Show GPU info" in the plugin shows this:
Nothing, in other words...
Code: Select all
NVAPI initializing...
....OK
NVAPI Version: NVidia Complete Version 1.10
gpuCount:2
initOctaneLive
-- initOctaneAPI --
setCALLBACKS

hmm, it means that you have some plugins are blocking to load *.dll'sron908 wrote:Ok, I found the solution...
octane.dat, octane.dll and vcomp100.dll had to be in the Cinema 4D exe folder - but nvapi64.dll must NOT be in that folder. Now it recognizes the CPU.![]()
At least it's working now
