Hi all,
i want to share a few pictures about implementation of new liveDB window. This is very complex work. LiveDB window has function for convertion materials to offline mode. This function will allow to acces immediately all downloaded materials by users. This is similar to Content browser but has native support for Octane material system.
Also second big advantage is that you can store own materials under User categories.
Any comments is welcome.

Hi aoktar,
this looks very nice and it is a great way to get a well organised material database and save time searching the right materials.
But as I understand, it just organizes the materials in user categories and you have to download it for every projects you are using it again, or only one time?
Is it be possible to implement the offline database collection of all user choosen materials directly in the "USER" Tab of Live DB you are showing in the first picture and having it stored in a lib4d file in the C4D browser directory? So it can easily be exchanged between different projects, machines and users? As for now I think we have to put the materials from the C4D material list in a custom C4D content directory... and when it comes to mixed materials it starts to get confusing, because of the different materials that relate to each other. In the Live DB a material is always one material, regardless of wether it is a mixed material or not.
I think thats what you are planning to do, but where excactly are the materials stored offline and how interchangeable (and able to backup) is that offline library?
So it would be nice to implement an "export to" and "import from" option in the live db to be able to backup the own user library and to load other users library collections.
Thats where it gets really interesting and very easy and well sorted to share materials betweenn users in the forum.
Hope you understand what I mean, keep up the good work, C4Doctane is getting better and better and more and more user and production friendly.
Greets,
ChrisVis

Chris,
well, i think you understand completely wrong;) Livedb can hold offlined materials on a directory structure. Also users can save own materials under USER categories. Every offline material is saved under this structure. It works like Content Browser. Simply words, you need to download and use again without download. Please check the last part of video
