Let us communicate better here, the thread "News & Announcements" isn´t the right place.

You can download the old Full version here:

Ok, perfect, a forum to talk about the XSI integratio.
Should be nice, please, if you could explain me how to use the enviroment node of OCTANE inside XSI. I really like to test OCTANE integrated, but the manual (actually) is quite emplty, and i'm not able to use lights actually (like you explained).
So please, how it work? (the enviroment node with the physical sky) ?
thank you!!!!!!!!!

Will made some tutorials, but all in all it is much work for a one man show.
Ok, here is the first tutorial, you can find it on the Softimage help page:
http://render.otoy.com/manuals/Softimage/?page_id=343

Hope this helps a little bit.

Happy Day! :D

I just purchase the beta. Now it's time to play.

Is there going to be a Softimage benchmark scene we can all use to share our end user experiences? (experimentation)

Or is the old benchmark scene good enough?

Let the fun begin... :D

Best Regards,

Thanks all,
but it´s only a first beta with some issues and without big features.
My main wish is to make the existing features working and the plugin stable.
Also some suggestions are welcome.

I found this bug with preview window.
If preview window has to be scaled down (Softimage doing this in background process ) Octane starts some LSD trip  . I made this example. Its repeatable.
For now the work aground tip is to start with small preview window (smaller than your monitor resolution) and then, without closing it, change resolution to HD or desired. https://vimeo.com/74049242

There are some news? I'm looking for the RENDER REDGION integration, how is going? Thank you!
PS: But Octane render in XSI convert the geometry like the Octane stand alone version appear that it don't use directly the XSI geometry in the memory? (is just a question)

good work!
