Is there any chance to adapt max's output map for texture maps. Because I always use output map for HDRI files in vray if I want to illuminate with only HDR without sun.
Infact octane render hdr support is really good as vray. But if I have an output map option I'll be happier.

I used cgskies.com 339 in this scene

Here is some sample images with vray and octane render about what I want to say ;

This image is what I want to get crisp dark shadows and good background.HDR gamma is 2.2 but output map tweaked for increasing mid areas.

If is possible to tweak it, i will be happy.
