glimpse is right, you can use your credit card without a paypal account even though the transaction still goes through the paypal portal, this works for most countries where paypal operates.
There may be some countries where paypal will require you to register your card with them. If you would like more info about purchasing, please write to [email protected]

Posted: Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:56 amThis is a problem for me also, my Paypal account was blocked years ago, and my credit card associated with it cannot be use if the transaction goes through the PayPal network.
With the Version 2.0 behind the corner, I need the option to purchase with a different network, otherwise I cannot buy it!

We had the same error issue last month when we purchased. It would not take a payment unless we actually had a verified Paypal account. I'm not sure if there were changes on paypal's end at one time or not but now it acts like you have to have a Paypal account. Just wanted to share our experience as well.
