Hi all,

Octane version 1.00 is now available. Apart from a few small bug fixes this release is the same as RC 3. The new features like glare and bloom will be available in the next version.

Changes since 1.00 RC 3:
  • Fixed decreased rendering speed after disabling all emitters in a scene.
  • Better UI performance when big scatter nodes are selected, or when a mesh node with lots of input pins is selected.
  • Fixed behavior of cancel button of save dialog.
  • Fixed aspect ratio bug when specifying a resolution on the command line.
  • The Linux version can locate the octane.dat file when the path to octane contains non-ASCII characters.
Downloading:
From now on the downloads for (stable) commercial releases will be available in your customer area in the Downloads section.

thank you roeland, question:i have the rc3 installed, what is the next step ? i need erase this version or rewriter the new ? becouse i see 2.58 and 1.00 ?

from 99€ to 199€...

for Max users 349€ one single license without distributed render

Vray-RT 2.0 1 workstation license + 10 nodes 960€ (rt-gpu works on networked workstations)

because we Max users need to activate 2 softwares, the standalone and the Max plugin for each workstation then 10 license costs

1799+1799 = 3598 €

I think it's time to develop a network license system for multiple networked gpus and a Max plugin full compatible with Backburner.

For multiple gpu workstations now Octane for Max is not cheap anymore.

HI, Now It works with kepler on its full performance? I meane CUDA 512 of Fermi = CUDA 512 of Kepler ? Or its still slower then Fermi .

The matter is I think what video card to buy now ?!

another bug with importing! if you specify in octane millimeters, objects do not
3ds max set to millimeters
